ESS LA TZOUMAZ-SAVOLEYRES REGULATIONS
BOOKINGS
A booking is only valid if it has been paid for before the start of the activity. Otherwise, the lesson cannot be provided and will not be refunded.
PRICES
Prices are stated in Swiss francs and include all taxes.
MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION OF A BOOKING
Bookings may be modified or cancelled up to 1 week before the start of the service.
For any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the start of the lesson, the full amount is due. Modifications will be made where possible, but no refund or rescheduling will be granted if the service is reduced.
For cancellations made between 1 week and 24 hours before the lesson, 80% of the amount is due. Modifications will be made where possible, but no refund or rescheduling will be granted if the service is reduced.
Lessons take place in all weather conditions and are maintained regardless of the weather. Bad weather does not entitle the client to any refund or rescheduling.
If all ski lifts in the 4 Vallées area are closed, the lesson may be rescheduled.
If the participant presents a medical certificate from a doctor confirming their incapacity, the lesson may be partially refunded or rescheduled.
SKI LIFT PASS
The ski pass is not included in the lesson price. It must be purchased from Téléverbier or online. Participants must have their ski pass before the start of the lesson.
EQUIPMENT
Ski, snowboard, and protective equipment are not included in the lesson price. Participants must bring their own equipment.
The Ski School declines any responsibility in the case of inappropriate or improperly adjusted equipment. If the equipment is unsuitable, defective or unusable, the instructor may cancel the lesson for safety reasons. In such cases, no refund or rescheduling will be granted.
GROUP LESSONS / SUMMER ACTIVITIES
The duration of the service includes travel time, waiting at ski lifts, and possible delays of participants. However, the instructor is not required to wait for latecomers.
The minimum number of participants is 3 (4 in summer). If there are fewer than 3 (4 in summer) participants, an alternative solution will be proposed. If this solution is not accepted, no refund or rescheduling will be granted. In such cases, we may, for example, merge groups or shorten the lesson duration.
We limit our group classes in winter to 8 students per group. This number may be exceeded in the following cases:
-
Incorrect level booking
-
Participants progressing too quickly or too slowly
If the group exceeds 8 students, an assistant may be added to support the main instructor for safety and learning purposes.
INSTRUCTOR’S RESPONSIBILITY
Mountain sports involve risks and are practiced in natural environments with unpredictable and potentially dangerous conditions.
Students must ensure their own safety and that of others by following the instructor’s safety guidelines.
The instructor has a duty of means, not of results.
Where possible, the instructor will speak the student’s preferred language, but this is not guaranteed. In principle, our instructors speak at least French and English.
ACCIDENTS
The ESS declines all responsibility in case of accidents. Each participant must have their own insurance.
IMAGE RIGHTS
The participant agrees that ESS La Tzoumaz-Savoleyres may publish photos and/or videos taken during lessons. If you do not wish to appear in such media, please inform us.
